On 4 August, the republican professional skills competition “Backbone communication network. Construction and operation of fiber-optic communication lines - 2026” started in Brest. Seven teams, the best specialists, leaders in the regional stages of the competition, are competing for the title of winner.

The participants were welcomed by the Director of the Brest branch Aleh Tsiulia and Deputy Chair of the Primary Trade Union Organization Marina Tsapikova. They wished all the participants confidence, emphasizing that each of them deserved to win and had already proven their highest level at regional competitions.

The programme began with a draw, safety briefing, a workplace orientation. Three busy days are ahead, during which the participants will demonstrate their theoretical knowledge and robust practical skills. The focus is on the technologies of installation, mensurments, construction and operation of fiber-optic communication lines.

Technical specialists ensure uninterrupted operation of digital networks and, consequently, reliable communication for millions of Beltelecom subscribers. The professional skill competition is not only struggle for victory, but also an important platform for futher growth, experience exchange, discovering best practices. It is here that  traditions of professional skills and high professional standarts are formed.
